Lead the definition, decomposition, and validation of hardware requirements while ensuring bi-directional traceability throughout the V-model. Translate these requirements into architectural choices for PCBs and guide teams through design analysis, validation, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, decomposition, and validation of hardware requirements
- Establish and enforce bi-directional traceability from stakeholder to system to hardware to design artifacts to verification to validation
- Collaborate with Electrical Design, Layout, and FW to ensure requirements are feasible, cost-optimized, and testable
- Align requirements with DFx, EMI/EMC, safety, thermal, and reliability objectives
- Guide teams through FMEA, FTA, worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, derating, and component selection
Requirements
- 8-12 years of hands-on hardware development experience
- Deep understanding of analog and digital design, including PCB design and EMI/EMC awareness
- Proven expertise in hardware design analysis and validation
- Strong experience in embedded hardware platforms, including microcontroller and processor-based systems
- Solid expertise in EMI/EMC and regulatory compliance
- Hardware debugging and root-cause analysis capability
