Structural Design Engineering Specialist

Responsible for the design and analysis of new and existing highway and railroad bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofits. Duties include producing contract documents, performing load ratings, and conducting quality assurance for transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities
- Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits
- Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects
- Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications
- Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD
- Review of construction phase submittals
Requirements
- Bachelorās Degree in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of NYSDOT, New Jersey, New York, and other authority experience is a plus
- Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design
- Experience with MicroStation and STAAD or similar CSI Bridge experience would be a plus
- OpenBridge Design experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CBSI certification would be a plus
