Lead a multi-disciplinary design team to improve the digital experiences of Asda Groceries and George.com across web and app. This hands-on leadership role involves setting design standards, managing direct reports, and partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end customer journeys.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead design delivery across products and services
- Contribute hands-on design work on high-impact initiatives
- Define and uphold design standards from discovery through to delivery
- Align design output with product priorities and customer needs
- Oversee design capacity planning, resource allocation, and workload prioritisation
- Own and evolve design operations and accessibility practice
Requirements
- Deep expertise in user-centred design
- Strong UI and app design capability
- Proven ability to raise design standards through critique and leadership
- Experience leading and developing designers in multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong workshop facilitation and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate customer and business needs into clear design direction
