Senior UX Designer, Platform
Everfi Remote (🇺🇸 United States of America)
Drive discovery and translate user needs into shippable designs while championing accessibility and inclusive design. Contribute to a coherent design system and align product outcomes with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Drive discovery across the portfolio in partnership with Engineering and Product
- Develop deep understanding of learner populations, educator workflows, stakeholder goals, and technical opportunities through UX research and analytics
- Translate user needs into shippable designs
- Move confidently from ambiguous problem spaces to low-fidelity concepts, refined flows, and production-ready artifacts
- Own quality through handoff and ensure shipped experiences meet interaction, visual, and learning experience standards
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design
- Apply WCAG standards and inclusive design principles across all work
- Contribute to a coherent design system
- Help evolve shared components, patterns, and documentation that scale gracefully across product lines and learning modalities
- Orient towards outcomes
- Help define product outcomes that align to business goals and strategy, and set up systems to track the effectiveness of designs in achieving them
- Communicate and influence across teams
- Articulate design rationale clearly in cross-functional settings
- Knowledge share
- Share craft, process knowledge, and design best practices with other designers and team members
Requirements
- 4+ years of UX or product design experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience in ed tech or mission-driven digital products preferred
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple product types, user segments, or problem domains
- Portfolio that showcases end-to-end design work, including discovery, research, user flows, prototypes, shipped solutions, and measurable impact
- Strong systems-level thinking, with the ability to consider how design decisions interact across a product ecosystem
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity — capable of framing problems, scoping research, and building design momentum in early-stage or undefined problem spaces
- Proficiency in Figma and user research/testing tools
- Fluency in WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, inclusive design principles, and agile product development methodologies
