Senior UI Designer inom retail

The role involves building and maintaining large-scale design systems and merging two separate systems into one scalable platform product. You will focus on the retail store environment and collaborate closely with UI developers in an AI-first workflow.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on building and maintaining components, design tokens, typography, spacing, patterns, and documentation, with a focus on delivery
• Driving the convergence of two large-scale systems into a common standard
• Focusing on the retail world, ensuring the design system matches the complexity of retail operations
• Designing near code, with active participation in the transition to a code-near collaboration with UI Developers
• AI-first focus, using AI tools daily to improve quality and speed in the design process
• Platform-as-a-product, contributing to how components are versioned, documented, and communicated to consuming teams

Requirements

• Several years of experience building and maintaining large-scale design systems consumed by many teams
• Expertise in Figma, with advanced component building skills
• Technical understanding, with the ability to have a qualified dialogue with UI Developers
• AI tools, such as Claude, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Figma Make, or similar, as a natural part of daily work
• Fluent Swedish, both written and spoken, for documentation and internal collaboration
• Residence in the Stockholm area, with a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days on-site per week
