UI-designer inom designsystem

The role involves building and managing a scalable design system, including components and tokens, to merge two existing systems into one standard for a retail environment. You will collaborate closely with UI developers and product designers using an AI-first approach to ensure seamless implementation from design to code.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain components, design tokens, typography, spacing, patterns, and documentation in the design system
- Drive the consolidation of two design systems and contribute to the architecture of tokens, naming conventions, mapping, and prioritization
- Ensure the design system meets the needs of a complex retail platform and functions well for teams building on it
- Work closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals
- Contribute to the development of a more collaborative workflow between design and development
Requirements
- Several years of experience in building and maintaining design systems
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including advanced component building
- Deep understanding of multi-tier tokens, including primitives, semantics, theming, and mode handling
- Technical understanding of how design translates to code and ability to communicate with developers
- Active experience with AI tools, such as Claude, Cursor, or Figma Make
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
