Product Designer - Assessment

Ensure curriculum and assessment design requirements and quality assurance principles are met for senior secondary subjects. Collaborate with workstreams and business units to transition products into ongoing delivery and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all curriculum and assessment design requirements and Quality Assurance principles are adhered to
- Providing quality assurance testing of the developed products to ensure they meet the quality standards required
- Working closely with the workstreams within the programme to ensure alignment across the Programme
- Working closely with Curriculum Designers within the Programme, providing support to curriculum development and ensure alignment
- Working in partnership with other Te Poutāhū business units to ensure products and outcomes can transition into the business for ongoing delivery, maintenance, and support
Requirements
- Expertise in senior secondary curriculum aligned assessment design
- Ability to build relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes in a complex organisation
- Demonstrated experience working in programme/project environments
- Understanding of The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Whāriki
- Knowledge of contemporary research in the area of assessment
- Commitment to a knowledge rich curriculum
- Knowledge of best practice pedagogy about the kinds of teaching approaches that consistently have a positive impact on student learning
- A proven ability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, to influence and guide organisational and system-level decision making
- Ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences and communicate complex information simply
- Facilitation experience in person and online
- Understanding of educational change and implementation practices that will support teachers and students to understand and use the products
- Cultural knowledge and competency to build relationships and operate in te ao Māori and Māori communities where needed
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct
- Curriculum specialism in a secondary senior subject
- A qualification in Education specialising in the secondary sector
