Full-time Senior

Deliver intuitive service experiences based on user needs and design principles while advocating for design thinking. Manage, coach, and develop staff members to ensure high performance and career growth within the Experience Design capability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver intuitive service experiences based on user needs and design principles
  • Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development
  • Be part of and supported by our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate research into design strategy
  • Collaborate to create new IA based on analysis and research
  • Advocate and promote accessibility and AD standards across projects
  • Guide other teams and stakeholders in best practice for UCD across a project lifecycle
  • Mentor junior team members and represent UX design across Kainos

Requirements

  • Able to define design strategy and communicate benefits to senior stakeholders
  • Can identify and design methods of ideation appropriate to the business context and project requirements
  • Uses journey maps to inform business and customer recommendations
  • Co-ordinates the production of prototypes to meet the needs of user testing and development
  • Able to conduct usability testing; can incorporate research into design strategy
  • Collaborates to create new IA based on analysis and research
  • Advocates and promotes accessibility and AD standards across projects
  • Guides other teams and stakeholders in best practice for UCD across a project lifecycle
  • Mentors junior team members and represents UX design across Kainos
  • Demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing members of your team and wider community
