Electrical Design Engineer , Data Centre Design Engineering

Design and innovate electrical distribution systems and HV/MV substations for global data center infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver resilient, cost-effective construction documents and ensure operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set
- HV/MV substations design
- Participating in site selection reviews and site planning activities
- Critical electrical substation equipment design
- Design and collaborate with other disciplines to create a construction document set
- Creating designs which meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary requirements
- Working with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify electrical equipment
- Working with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements
- Working with local agencies to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements, and building codes
- Reviewing and approval of equipment submittals
- Defining project scope and providing technical support for information requests
- Working with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
- Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
- Traveling to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
