The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating user-friendly interfaces and enhancing user experiences across all digital platforms. This includes conducting user research, designing layouts, ensuring usability, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and analysis to understand user needs and preferences
  • Design and layout digital platforms, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Ensure digital platforms are intuitive, accessible, and optimized for user engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior leadership, product managers, and developers
  • Maintain design standards, including style guides and design systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience Design or a related field
  • Proficiency in design software such as Figma and Miro and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components
  • Strong grasp of usability principles, responsive design, and user-centered design methodologies
  • Portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX design projects
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities

About State Of Oklahoma

The Oklahoma State Department of Health, through its system of local health services delivery, is ultimately responsible for protecting and improving the public's health status through strategies that focus on preventing disease. Four major service branches, Community and Family Health Services, Wellness Programs, Disease, Prevention and Preparedness Services and Protective Health Services, provide technical support and guidance to 68 county health departments as well as guidance and consultation to the two independent city-county health departments in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
