Product Designer

Own the end-to-end product design process for complex tax solutions, from problem definition to launch and iteration. Utilize AI tools like Claude and Cursor to prototype flows and translate complex tax regulations into simple, intuitive user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Own product work end to end
- Partner with PM and engineering to define problems, explore solution spaces, validate concepts, and ship improvements
- Stay involved through launch and iteration
- Start in an LLM and use Claude to clarify intent on ambiguous tax workflows
- Validate with self-serve research and talk directly to controllers, AP leads, and founders
- Prototype using AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code
- Partner with engineers to decide what moves into the product
- Bring work into Figma and translate validated concepts into full state coverage, system alignment, and production readiness
Requirements
- Experience as a product designer on complex products, ideally B2B, fintech, accounting, or other systems-heavy environments
- Ownership of projects from problem definition through launch and iteration
- Active use of LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow
- Comfort in Cursor or Claude Code, even if you're not writing production code by hand
- A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft on dense, data-heavy surfaces
