Product Designer

Create and modify 3D models and designs for electrical product assemblies and components using Solid Edge. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot shop problems and document changes through engineering change orders.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models of new and existing assemblies and components using Solid Edge
- Design new assemblies and components to meet specified mechanical and electrical functionality
- Troubleshoot complex shop problems with Production Support Requests (PSR's) and developing solutions to design issues
- Provide support to the production team by addressing design-related concerns and implementing necessary changes
- Write engineering change orders (ECOs) to document print changes and release new prints
Requirements
- Associate degree in Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in product design or a related role
- Basic understanding of S&C or similar industry products and familiar with industry standards in product design and manufacturing
- Proficient in 3D CAD, modeling and good drafting skills using standard software tools
- Ability to use product lifecycle management software for revision control of parts and assemblies
