Technical Product Designer - Mast Development

Design and model mechanical components and welded assemblies for forklift masts using 3D CAD and create technical documentation. Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality assurance to resolve technical problems and implement serial changes.
Responsibilities
- Design and modelling of mechanical components and welded assemblies in 3D CAD
- Creation of technical 2D drawings, bills of materials, and additional documentation
- Dimensioning and specification of forklift mast components
- Interface coordination with procurement, quality assurance, external component suppliers and in-house production facilities
- Analysis of technical problems in production and in the field
- Incorporation of serial changes and Cust Options in accordance with the Jungheinrich change process
- Support of prototype builds, testing and commissioning
Requirements
- Industrial or academic education as a Technical Product Designer, Design/Development Engineer, or similar qualification
- Practical experience as a technician or relevant professional experience is desirable
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals
- Proficient use of common CAD systems (CATIA preferred, Siemens NX welcome)
- Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Siemens Teamcenter) is an advantage
- Basic experience with ERP systems (SAP R/3, MM module)
- Structured and precise working style
- Strong technical understanding and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for developing complex technical solutions
- Self-initiative mindset with a sense for responsibility
- Fluent (technical) English required, German is nice to have
