Senior Product Designer, Design Systems
Thumbtack Remote (🇨🇦 Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
Own and evolve the Thumbprint design system, focusing on patterns, flows, and component compositions across iOS, Android, and web. Collaborate with engineering and AI tools to ensure a seamless design-to-code workflow and maintain high-quality documentation.
Responsibilities
- Own the patterns, flows, and component compositions that power product experiences across iOS, Android, and web
- Design and ship reusable components with a high bar for craft
- Define and maintain platform-native interaction patterns
- Evolve the design system over time to keep pace with modern UI patterns
- Create clear, opinionated documentation and usage guidance
- Enable teams to adopt and extend the design system through onboarding, critique, and hands-on partnership
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience
- Deep familiarity with platform conventions across iOS, Android, and web
- High craft bar for visual design and component work
- Expert-level Figma skills
- Comfortable working across the design-to-code workflow
- Strong written communication skills
