Lead the design of high-quality, culturally responsive curriculum and assessment initiatives aligned with New Zealand and Māori-medium frameworks. Collaborate across workstreams to ensure Māori medium learners have access to necessary knowledge and skills across both contexts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of high-quality, culturally responsive curriculum and assessment initiatives
- Work collaboratively across programme workstreams to ensure cohesive, aligned delivery of priorities
- Ensure Māori medium learners can access the knowledge and skills needed to succeed across both Māori and English-medium contexts
Requirements
- Proven experience in using and/or designing The New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa frameworks
- Strong understanding of kaupapa Māori approaches and culturally responsive practice
- Experience working in, or alongside, Kaupapa Māori, Māori-medium and/or English-medium education settings
- Ability to translate complex curriculum ideas into practical, engaging teaching and learning opportunities
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
