Bridge Design Engineering Manager

Manage preconstruction activities for bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, including risk assessments and stakeholder coordination. Oversee structural engineering design, preparation of bridge plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Managing the progress of all preconstruction activities for bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects
- Overseeing the structural engineering, design, and preparation of bridge plans, special provisions, and cost estimates
- Working with stakeholders, initiating public involvement, and assessing construction plans and projects
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public
- Communicating effectively orally and in writing, and making engineering presentations to the public
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering field with an emphasis on structural design
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in bridge or structural engineering
- Minimum of 3 years as a licensed professional engineer
- Minimum of 1 year of supervision, team lead experience, or equivalent education in an approved management development course
- Professional Engineering license in the State of Montana, or through comity at time of hire
