Experiential Graphic Designer IB

The role involves all phases of the design process for two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage, and exhibits from concept to production. Responsibilities include creating photo visualizations, preparing camera-ready artwork, and collaborating with vendors and architects.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in all phases of the design process from conceptual development through artwork production
- Participate in recommendations for concept, design, art direction, and production for a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage and exhibits
- Under direct supervision and partnership with the environmental graphics team, design a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, print layouts for exhibits and signage
- With guidance, work with selected clients and participate in the interpretation and translation of their expressed needs and ideas into concepts
- Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of proposed signage for placement, content and/or usage
- Prepare camera-ready artwork for fabrication
- Work with vendors/fabricators
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience required
- Strong design portfolio
- Strong typography skills
- Must demonstrate skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design and environments
- Must be analytical and an independent thinker
- Proficiency on Macintosh in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required, skills in AutoCAD and Sketchup a plus
