UX Designer, Android Accessibility, Talkback

Design and iterate on Android accessibility features like TalkBack and braille keyboards to improve independence for users with impairments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for and implement international accessibility standards across Google products.
Responsibilities
- Apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to leverage user insights and create industry-leading products
- Work on features to improve the quality of life and independence for users
- Design and iterate on critical multi-modal features like TalkBack, the TalkBack braille keyboard, magnification, dark theme, and high contrast mode
- Advocate for accessibility best practices across Google
- Design contextual accessibility suggestions that meet users where they are
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design
- Experience with mobile app design, Critical User Journeys (CUJs), or voice-first interfaces
- Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
