Web Designer

Create and localize web artwork and UI elements using Photoshop while optimizing assets for visual clarity and various formats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient file handoffs and maintain flawless layouts for webpages and HTML emails.

Responsibilities

• Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics
• Structure Photoshop comps to optimise efficient production design and localisation workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
• Track and check on web graphics using a version control system
• Work closely with producers, traffic, development, publishing, and international teams to meet project goals and ensure efficient file handoffs for localization
• Review final webpages and HTML email with an exacting eye, ensuring that graphics and layouts are flawless
• Support training of newer team members

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 2 years equivalent experience in a hands-on high-volume web or HTML email design and publishing environment
• Photoshop expertise, particularly setting up files for web production and adhering to graphic design standards
• Excellent design and typography sensibilities applicable to web pages and HTML email
• Solid standards-based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledge
• Highly detail oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
• Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to adhere to a consistent graphic production and checking process, while also identifying opportunities for improvement
