Onsite $95,500 - $128,000 Full-time Senior

The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for the execution of product design and development for licensed products from concept through production. This includes collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure high-quality, consumer-focused products.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, sketch, prototype, 2D graphics, 3D modeling, and deliver trend-right consumer centric product lines
  • Execute product and licensed packaging approvals through online systems and collaborative approval meetings
  • Collaborate with internal partners to design and approve all products
  • Monitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamics
  • Research Initial seasonal trends by category
  • Responsible for product design and development from concept through final production stages
  • Leads and oversees product approvals including creative direction, revisions, & provides detailed feedback to external Licensees
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Licensees, Vendors and internal partners overseeing all creative aspects of product development
  • Assist in the onboarding of new partners

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in costume, fashion, apparel or consumer product design/development
  • Solid knowledge in hardlines/softlines categories (raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
  • Expertise in Product Prototypes, and an understanding of the manufacturing process, sculpting, tooling, paint master, materials and mechanisms
  • Strong product design skills (e.g. 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification)
  • Experience and expertise in sewing, patternmaking, and costume/fashion design experience appreciated
  • Proven experience multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple design projects within deadline
  • Strong computer software skills (e.g. MS Office, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge/passion for TWDC franchises such as Marvel, Lucas, 20th Century, Disney & Pixar
  • Experience with product design within costumes (and other Softline adjacent products) including packaging and product exposure
  • Experience with the full Lifecyle of a product all the way through product approvals
  • Exposure working with external Licensees and Vendors for feedback, reviews, approvals and more
  • Strong visual & written communication skills to provide clear, actionable feedback to our partners
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Illustrator with ability to create overlays and detailed design revisions
  • Solid negotiating skills
