Product Designer
Global Spatial Technology Solutions Remote (🇨🇦 Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada)
The Product Designer will create functional UI/UX requirements, wireframes, and interactive mock-ups for a maritime intelligence platform. They will collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex workflows into accessible user experiences and maintain the SaaS design system.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs, feature objectives, and technical requirements
- Contribute to designing complex workflows, data-dense interfaces, and operational decision-support experiences
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that improve user experience and meet product requirements
- Contribute to and apply the team's design system to ensure consistency across the SaaS platform
- Work within modern product development workflows using shared design systems, component libraries, and close collaboration with front-end engineering teams
Requirements
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in a design or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2–4 years of experience in product design or a related role
- Some experience working in, or exposure to, a software product development environment
- Experience with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools
- A growing technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach
