Intern - Design Engineering

Support customer orders and engineering projects by preparing drawings, basic calculations, and technical documentation. Conduct engineering studies to design, modify, and develop products, subsystems, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts engineering studies on design for products, associated and subsystems components, and structures
• Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to design
• Applies engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes
• Creates drawings in developing product designs
• Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products, equipment, machines, associated and subsystems components, and structures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering student with three plus years completed course work towards major
• Three years relevant experience and/or training
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software
• AutoCAD and Inventor experience with Solid Modeling and 3D design experience preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering proposals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
