Collaborate with cross-functional squads to design industry-leading native mobile experiences for CNN. Create tools for journalists to tell immersive stories while evolving the organization's Design System patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with fellow design, product, engineering, research, editorial, and analytics to create tools that enable journalists to tell immersive and impactful stories
  • Impact the future of CNN's mobile native experience
  • Partner closely with senior product designers across the organization, product managers, and engineering on features and tickets
  • Help shape requirements and deliver detailed final files for build
  • Take part in and collaborate with your cross-functional team on QA and testing

Requirements

  • 2+ years' work experience as a Product Designer
  • Knowledge of visual design elements including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
  • Design portfolio highlighting work in native mobile experiences
  • Familiarity with collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
