Staff Product Designer

Lead the design of a complex AI-native legal platform, focusing on creating a coherent intelligence layer and system-level experience. Partner with engineering and leadership to define interaction models and establish high quality standards for the product.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across the core product, driving coherence across workflows
• Design the intelligence system, defining how intelligence behaves across the product
• Influence product direction through design, framing the hardest problems and challenging assumptions
• Set and raise the quality bar, establishing standards for interaction, hierarchy, accessibility, and polish
• Ship tightly with engineering, working side-by-side to make thoughtful tradeoffs and keep the experience strong
• Design for work that unfolds over time, creating flows for iterative, revision-heavy work

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience (or equivalent) with a portfolio showing shipped, complex work — ideally in B2B or professional software
• Strong interaction design instincts and high visual craft
• Experience designing system-level experiences that span multiple workflows and surfaces
• Comfort in high-stakes domains where clarity, reliability, and traceability matter more than novelty
• Ability to think in prototypes and explore interactions, validate complexity, and decide what the product should feel like before it's built
• Ability to move fluidly between hands-on execution and higher-level product thinking
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
