Senior Product Designer

The role focuses on bridging the gap between design and engineering by building production-quality prototypes and evolving the company's UI system. You will create reusable components and patterns to scale the product ecosystem and improve the overall craft of the user interface.
Responsibilities
- Build production-quality prototypes to validate UX direction quickly
- Own and evolve Alchemy's design system in practice, building and maintaining reusable components and patterns
- Translate design intent into high-quality React/TypeScript UI
- Drive system scalability and identify gaps to propose improvements
- Partner closely with product designers and engineers to improve the craft and feasibility of design work
- Collaborate tightly with product engineers to reduce rework and make the path from prototype to implementation smoother
Requirements
- Strong front-end fundamentals and comfort building interactive UI
- Systems-minded builder with experience shipping and maintaining component libraries and design systems
- A designer's eye with attention to hierarchy, spacing, typography, interaction details, and visual polish
- Proven ability to prototype quickly without sacrificing craft
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and move fast with high ownership
- Clear communicator across disciplines
