Own the end-to-end product design process for an AI pilot assistant, from discovery and research to final engineering hand-off. Translate complex AI data into clear, actionable interfaces for high-pressure cockpit environments while maintaining a scalable design system.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product design process for Beacon AI's pilot assistant
- Conduct research and usability testing with pilots and aviation professionals
- Translate complex AI-driven data and alerts into interfaces that are instantly clear and actionable in high-pressure cockpit environments
- Build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency and speed across the product
- Partner closely with engineering and strong product sense to ship polished, well-considered experiences iteratively
Requirements
- Strong product design instincts
- Fluent in Figma and comfortable owning a design system end to end
- Able to move fluidly from research and strategy to high-fidelity execution
- Genuine curiosity about aviation, aerospace, or safety critical industries
- 3+ years of experience in product design, ideally with complex, data-heavy or safety-critical products
