Rethink and design video editing workflows to make complex tools approachable for everyday creators. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to deliver innovative features and communicate designs through prototypes and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design video editing tools and workflows that elegantly transition from the simple to the most powerful
- Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to strategize on how best to deliver high-impact, innovative features in the overall product roadmap
- Evangelize and communicate your designs through sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations
- Engage with Engineering to understand the feasibility of your designs, proposing smart alternatives along the way and creating detailed design specifications from which theyāll build
Requirements
- A portfolio that showcases visual and interaction design work and a user-centered design process
- Ability to share design rationale persuasively and concisely to all functions of the organization, including executives
- Ability to prototype your ideas to get feedback on your ideas
- Thrive in a culture of critiques, collaborative design, and the camaraderie of the tight-knit design team
- Experience conducting your own user research āfrom contextual inquiry to usability studies āpresenting study results, and acting on insights
- 5+ years in related field
- Experience building and shipping software
- Bachelor/ Masterās degree in design, or equivalent work experience, with an emphasis on human computer interaction, visual design, interaction design, product design or related field
