Senior UX Designer (Fixed-Term)

The Senior UX Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive UI/UX structures and flows for a new shooter IP. They will be responsible for creating wireframes, conducting usability research, and optimizing the player experience through iterative design.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cross-functional team of artists, designers, engineers, and others through all stages of development to make experiences clear, usable, and exciting
- Design intuitive UI/UX structure and flow, with a focus on the best user experience possible, utilizing grey-boxing, wire-framing, flowcharts, mockups, and other prototyping techniques
- Extract usability insights through self-guided play and validation, playtests, user research, team feedback, and community feedback
- Actively participate in project peer playtests, seeking feedback on your own work and providing it for others
- Collaborate across teams – You will take ownership of how we communicate information to the player, with an emphasis on player experience and comprehension
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in user experience design for console and PC games
- Proven experience as a UX designer, with a focus on shooter or action-oriented video games
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful UX design projects for video games
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and an understanding of technical constraints and opportunities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
