OPW is seeking a Design Engineering Team Lead to lead the Cryogenic Experts design and drafting team, responsible for managing resources and priorities, and liaising between engineering, sales, quality, and production teams. The role involves reinforcing corporate commitment to safety and environmental awareness, and being a technical expert and point of contact for shop floor leads.
Responsibilities
- Reinforce corporate commitment to safety and environmental awareness
- Manage resources and priorities for the CEXI design engineering team
- Read and review formal drawings released to shop floor to validate manufacturing standards
- Work with sales, manufacturing, product management, and quality to model new designs or modifications to existing products
- Assist in maintaining and improving the drawing change documentation process
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience working closely between engineering and manufacturing
- 2 years of demonstrated people leadership/leading a team
- Experience with being a technical and skilled expert in fabrication, welding, and electrical wiring/schematics
