CAD Product Designer

Develop and issue world-class product designs and drawings for chassis parts to manufacturing plants. Analyze OEM samples, geometric reports, and metallurgical data to ensure product quality and cost-competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and issue world-class product designs and drawings to manufacturing plants
- Analyze original equipment manufacturer (OEM) samples and geometric inspection reports to determine design requirements
- Analyze vehicle reports to determine product dimensions and tolerances
- Analyze metallurgical reports to determine material and heat treatment requirements
- Verify product quality and identify areas for improvement
- Realize layouts, calculations, and models to support design development
- Design new products using UGS NX, TCe, and/or Geomagic Design X
- Analyze design proposals with engineering teams
- Develop sales plans, assembly, and component plans for Chassis products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the metalmecanic or automotive industry
- Intermediate English language skills
- Experience with ISO/TS 16949, QS9000, APQP, PPAP, manufacturing processes, and standards (SAE, ASTM)
- Knowledge of systems of manufacture (Kanban, just-in-time, lean manufacturing)
