Principal Product Designer (Contract-to-Hire)

Lead the design strategy and vision to create intuitive user experiences for complex healthcare technology platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform confusing workflows into elegant solutions while mentoring other designers.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product design vision for high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment with user needs and company goals
- Advocate for design excellence across the organization, balancing business, technical, and customer perspectives
- Lead by example, setting the standard for design quality through hands-on contributions
- Serve as a champion for cohesive and inclusive design practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders
- Lead discussions to align on goals, dependencies, and trade-offs
- Partner with engineering to bring design concepts to life, maintaining quality and consistency
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional design experience, with at least 3 years leading or mentoring other designers
- Experience designing for web, mobile, or cross-platform ecosystems at scale
- Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for influencing executive stakeholders and rallying teams around a vision
- A growth mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in a hybrid role (Design & Product, or Design & Eng) or an equivalent background
- Experience in B2B SaaS, HR tech, performance management, or internal tooling
- A background or formal education in Graphic or Product Design
