Product Designer (Acoustics)

Lead the end-to-end design and development of acoustic products, from initial concept through to production-ready documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet structural, manufacturing, and cost requirements while evolving the product line's design language.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of acoustic products from concept through production
- Define and evolve the design language of the acoustic product line
- Create 3D models, prototypes, and production-ready designs
- Research and test materials for acoustic performance, durability, and cost
- Design modular and user-friendly installation systems
- Ensure products meet structural, manufacturing, and cost requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and sourcing
- Identify and evaluate manufacturing partners
- Monitor market trends and competitor products to inform and evolve product strategy
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a focus on acoustic products or similar categories
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and visualization tools (KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Solid understanding of acoustic principles, including sound absorption and diffusion
- Experience designing for manufacturing, including materials, cost, and scalability considerations
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, material exploration, and execution
