Architectural BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

Design architectural systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models. Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure design compliance, manage construction documentation, and support project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Central Engineering Team through the preparation of Architectural and Structural BIM models and leveraging BIM data
- Influence Data Center design documents for exterior envelope design, interior architecture, furniture, finishes, and equipment, site planning, space planning, life safety, structural systems, and building code compliance
- Produce and maintain Architectural drawing sets for AWS Data Centers
- Design the Architectural systems of Data Centers and utilize Revit to create and maintain BIM models
- Create and manage Master Architectural Model files while ensuring precise coordination and alignment with MEP, Structural, and other discipline models
- Prepare and develop detailed Architectural Revit models and documentation
- Communicate with internal and external vendors to ensure design documentation is compliant and code requirements are met
- Review models developed by external vendors to ensure compliance with BIM standards
- Identify potential design improvements and efficiencies to existing designs in conjunction with other disciplines
- Develop and publish construction documentation for Architectural building system designs
- Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required
Requirements
- 5+ years of Architectural design experience on mission critical facilities
- 4+ yearsâ experience using Revit for producing Architectural BIM models and construction drawings
- Practical knowledge and understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Bachelorâs degree in Architecture (preferred)
- Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction (preferred)
- Experience and knowledge applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production (preferred)
