The UX Designer will provide expert advice on universal design and conduct accessibility audits to ensure digital services meet WCAG standards. They will also facilitate workshops, perform user testing with individuals with disabilities, and contribute to accessibility requirements in ICT procurement.
Responsibilities
- Providing counseling in universal design in development, UX, content, and procurement
- Using and interpreting Norwegian UU/IKT regulations and guidance from uutilsynet.no
- Conducting WCAG reviews and documenting findings
- Contributing to accessibility in development (HTML, CSS, JS, semantics, keyboard navigation, ARIA)
- Holding courses and workshops for cross-functional teams
- Planning and conducting user testing with people with disabilities
- Using and evaluating assistive technologies
- Performing GAP analyses and maturity assessments
- Contributing to requirement setting for universal design in procurement of IKT solutions
- Ensuring universal design throughout the development process
Requirements
- Experience with universal design and WCAG
- Good knowledge of Norwegian UU/IKT regulations and uutilsynet.no
- Experience with WCAG reviews and reporting of findings
- UX/interaction design with a focus on accessibility
- Frontend accessibility (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, semantics, keyboard navigation, ARIA)
- Experience with assistive technologies
- Very good Norwegian language skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
