The Lead UX Researcher will direct hands-on user research and usability testing for complex medical hardware and software products. This role involves defining usability strategies, managing regulatory documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Leads and delivers hands-on UX research and usability testing activities for a large and complex product or a solution consisting of several products
- Takes holistic responsibility for the user experience of a product or a solution
- Defines usability strategy and leads its execution through to completion aligned with business targets
- Independently plans, conducts, facilitates and documents contextual studies, interviews, surveys, task and use error analyses, user reviews, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing
Requirements
- Master's degree in human factors engineering, Human Computer Interaction, experimental psychology, User-Centred Design or equivalent learning/training
- Knowledge base acquired from 6+ years of experience as an individual contributor in human factors, usability, or UX research
- Experience working in the human factors/usability engineering of complex regulated medical devices
- Good understanding of medical device regulations and compliance
- Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including contextual studies, interviews, surveys, task and use error analyses, user reviews, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing
