DC Structural Engineer, Design Engineering

The Structural Engineer will manage the design and construction process for data center projects, including site selection and coordination with external consultants. They are responsible for developing design standards, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring all facilities meet strict quality and performance levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and produce template specifications for each site design's requirements
- Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
- Coordinate with Due Diligence teams to determine site selection criteria and create, review, and release design Request for Proposals
- Manage external structural design consultants through the design and construction process
- Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction
Requirements
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission-critical facilities
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
- Experience in commissioning
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience with building codes and regulations for the region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
