Electrical BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

You will design electrical systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models and construction documents. You will also collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure design quality and coordinate clash detection.

Responsibilities

• Designing the electrical systems of Data Centers, and utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models
• Working independently and within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks
• Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of electrical building systems
• Developing & publishing construction documentation for electrical building systems designs
• Updating and modifying existing models, studies and construction documents as required
• Assist with creating and maintaining standard regional BIM templates
• Participating in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution

Requirements

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA
• 5+ years of design/engineering experience of Electrical building systems for mission critical facilities
• 4+ years experience using Revit for producing Electrical engineering BIM models and construction drawings
• Ability to conduct lighting illumination calculations
• Understanding of power distribution and as represented by Single Line diagrams, plans and schedules
