The Senior Manager, Product Designer leads a team to create research-backed, end-to-end product experiences that align with business goals and customer needs. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, manage design operations, and mentor designers to ensure high-quality, consistent outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product, business, and technology teams to define, scope, and manage the end-to-end product experience
- Manage the design team activities from research and ideation through to execution
- Guide UX designers on design strategy related to research and insights generation
- Guide UI designers on executing best-in-class visual design work
- Work with the front-end developers to ensure the successful implementation of the visual design and product interaction
- Mentor and coach the design teams
- Identify and remove team impediments
- Work with CPO and POs to align the roadmap to vision and continuous insights
- Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution
Requirements
- Ability to plan, direct, and deliver clear research process and artifacts
- Can make design decisions at a team and product level
- Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units
- Significant experience driving design outcomes in an Agile infrastructure
- Seasoned design expertise with deep insight into newest methods, trends, and design operations
- Experience in Agile Development as a product designer
- Experience managing design priorities within the backlog
- Understands the relationship between Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the rest of the team
