Physical Security Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

Lead the physical security design for data center facilities across the Americas region, including the development of construction drawings and security specifications. Collaborate with internal security teams and external consultants to ensure resilient, cost-effective, and safe infrastructure standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs for physical security elements for DC projects
• Collaborate with other security organizations to develop design standards
• Communicate conceptual designs to internal stakeholders and external consultants
• Participate in maintenance Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications
• Create security design scope of work for design RFPs
• Review and direct the work of physical security engineering design consultants
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
• Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with design consultants

Requirements

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
• 4+ years of commissioning experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods
