Product Designer
Meta Remote (🇺🇸 Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States of America)
Design digital user interfaces and create elegant experiences for web-based applications while focusing on aesthetics. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to iterate on products from conception through to launch.
Responsibilities
- Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web-based applications and technologies with a focus on aesthetics and design
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms
- Partner with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to iterate and oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
- Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Fine Arts, Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Interactive Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a graphics design-related occupation
- Alternatively, employer will accept 3 years of work experience in the job offered or in a graphics design-related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience
- 1 year of experience in Front-end programming or building and shipping applications or software
- Application design, visual design, or interaction design experience
- Producing high resolution designs using Figma, Photoshop, Fireworks, or Illustrator
- Prototyping interactive designs using Figma, HTML, CSS, Flash, or Quartz Composer
- Graphic design fundamentals, such as in type, hierarchy, color, composition, or contrast
- End-to-end hybrid UX or UI product design, from the start of a project to completion
- Evaluating design tradeoffs using various sources of quantitative or qualitative data
- Strategic product vision or brand work, such as in logo explorations, branding guidelines, visual standards, or marketing pages
- Communicating and making a design decision by explaining alternatives and corresponding trade-offs
