UX Designer - Manchester, UK - Fulltime - Hybrid

The UX Designer will support the continuous improvement of digital user experiences across multiple channels by defining interactivity and design solutions. They will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate research insights into concepts while championing user needs and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the continuous improvement of the digital user experience across multiple digital channels
• Help define the interactivity and design on a variety of products, proposing solutions that balance user needs with business goals and technical capabilities
• Work across the entire lifecycle of a product, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts and solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: product owners, developers, and business stakeholders
• Rapidly sketch and prototype ideas, as well as designing the finer details of an interaction or component
• Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, Consumer Duty

Requirements

• Experience designing consumer-focused digital projects
• Familiarity with current design philosophies (Lean UX, Design Sprint, design thinking, etc.)
• Ability to create interactive prototypes using Figma or in the browser with HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of interface and interaction design, prototyping, and wireframing
• Knowledge of design software such as Figma
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Current portfolio that reflects a strong understanding of online design
• BA in Graphic Design or related area
• Keenness to learn and develop
• Understanding of new technologies
• Precise and high attention to detail
• Commercially minded as well as editorially aware
• Passionate about uses of design, research, content, architecture, usability, and accessibility
