Contract Product Designer (Staff-level), 6 months

You will lead end-to-end product design projects, translating briefs into high-impact user experiences while collaborating with engineering and product teams. Additionally, you will contribute to the design system and drive design quality across the product organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end user experiences across key product surfaces, from discovery and ideation through to polished, production-ready work
- Translate product briefs into clear design direction — balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to identify high-impact opportunities that help shape roadmaps
- Lead complex design projects independently, driving clarity and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders
- Contribute to and uphold Linktree's design system, ensuring consistency and quality across the product
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, including 2+ years operating at a Staff level
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, critical thinking, and a clear obsession for the end user
- Expertise in utilizing modern AI product design and prototyping tools to rapidly create interactive, sharable concepts for feedback and testing
- Strong systems-thinking ability: you can zoom into pixel-level detail and zoom out to product wide thinking without losing the thread
- Comfortable working in ambiguity in a fast paced environment — you know how to define the problem as well as solve it
