The Graphic Designer will develop innovative design concepts, layouts, and visual materials to support the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program. They will collaborate with project teams to ensure all collateral aligns with corporate branding and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality design concepts, layouts and graphics across a wide range of communications and publications
  • Produce well-structured, visually consistent documents that reflect strong typographic and layout design
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, communications, and project teams to support continuous improvement in materials
  • Translate complex written and numerical information into clear, impactful diagrams and visual storytelling
  • Ensure all materials align with corporate branding, client expectations, and accessibility standards (including WCAG)
  • Manage end-to-end collateral development from concept through to final approval
  • Support both digital and print production requirements
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with state representatives and project stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate qualification in graphic design, communications or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in communications, graphic design or publications
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure or a related industry (desirable)
  • Proven experience working in project environments or managing large volumes of editorial content
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Video editing skills highly regarded
