Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

You will design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems while managing projects from concept to design approval. Additionally, you will serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers and support the operations team during installation and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
- Be the primary point of technical contact for suppliers for assigned projects
- Hand-off projects to the Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning
- Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of designed systems
- Work on a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch projects, including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits
Requirements
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work
- Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making (preferred)
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing (preferred)
- Experience with design-in-safety (preferred)
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles (preferred)
