Aerospace Design Engineering Placement – 12 months

The engineer will support the design of aero engine components and assist in manufacturing engineering processes such as process planning and CNC programming. They will interact with specialist teams to ensure robust design and participate in the full product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of various aero engine and other aerospace mechanical and electrical parts
- Apply understanding of materials, functional and performance requirements, tolerance stack up, thermal, vibration and life requirements
- Interact with many specialist areas such as materials, stress, lifing and manufacturing engineering
Requirements
- Currently on an academic course to Degree Level in Engineering or Science or similar
- An understanding of Gas Turbine Design/operation would be an advantage
- Basic familiarity with Gas Turbine components
- Familiar with a quality CAD system such as Siemens NX
