The Antenna Design Engineering Team Lead will oversee the daily activities of the antenna engineering technician team and drive corporate objectives through effective leadership. They are responsible for managing antenna design projects, providing technical guidance, and implementing process improvements to ensure high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Antenna engineering technician team
- Leading teams to execute against corporate objectives and drive entire team KPIs and reporting
- Providing technical support to internal and external customers
- Managing collaboration to work with internal and external customer interactions
- Identifying gaps in existing processes and leading process improvement opportunities
- Developing templates and standard procedures for the team
- Managing a group of Antenna Engineering technician resources
- Providing coaching and guidance related to antenna design methodology
- Guiding and training team members
- Dedicating to continuous improvement processes
- Performing computer-aided design and analysis of innovative antennas
- Providing antenna specifications, design requirements, and simulations
- Providing R&D technical support to the antenna engineer manager
- Carrying out antenna prototype development and testing
Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of working experience in antenna design and development
- Hands-on experience in passive/active antenna design and development
- Familiarity with RF design and testing software and hardware
- Experience in taking designs from concept through mass production
- Coaching, empowering, and inspiring team members
- Exceptional listening, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of existing and future trends in technologies used in RF communications
