The Product Designer will lead end-to-end digital product experiences by conducting user research, creating prototypes, and establishing scalable design systems. They will collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams to ensure designs are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify needs and pain points
- Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide design decisions
- Analyze product usage data (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar) to inform iterations
- Translate insights into low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Deliver pixel-perfect designs for web and mobile interfaces
- Define interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability
- Ensure consistency across platforms by maintaining component libraries and style guides
- Build and maintain scalable design systems that include typography, color palettes, icons, and reusable components
- Incorporate WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards into all designs
- Test for usability across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies
- Partner with product managers to define scope and priorities
- Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately, using Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode, or InVision Inspect
- Provide ongoing support during development to refine edge cases
Requirements
- 2+ years professional product design experience
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts
- Solid understanding of UX principles, usability, and accessibility standards
