Lead Graphic Designer

The Lead Graphic Designer guides the aesthetic direction and design vision for client projects while collaborating with copywriters and account managers to translate marketing strategies into compelling visual concepts. They are responsible for managing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring brand consistency across all channels and mediums.
Responsibilities
- Managing the design process from concept to completion
- Collaborating with Indigo peers to understand and translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
- Presenting conceptual options to clients and clearly articulating and selling the thought process behind design recommendations
- Possessing a deep understanding of the client brand aesthetic and standards
- Serving as steward and champion of both Indigo and Wellmark brands
- Demonstrating design expertise, working proficiently in graphics programs such as the Adobe Creative Cloud
- Producing final art files for print or electronic publishing
- Generating graphic elements for print and multimedia applications
- Transforming statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience
- 6+ years' experience in an agency or in-house design role
- Must demonstrate design skill across a variety of communication mediums
- Exceptional computer skills: Macintosh operating platform experience
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign are required
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- Exemplary presentation skills
