Senior Manager, Design Engineering, Data Centre Engineering

Lead the technical strategy for data center infrastructure design and manage regional capacity delivery projects. Provide technical oversight for electrical and mechanical systems while driving process improvements and innovation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic solutions that meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary and redundancy requirements
- Conceive, initiate, and lead projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation
- Set the standard for engineering, test, and best practices; drive process improvements across the organization
- Decompose complex problems into straightforward and actionable solutions
- Be a leader within the group and within internal and external teams that support our data centers
- Provide technical oversight of the Regional Electrical and Mechanical Basis of Design (BOD)
- Serve as a technical advisor for AWS datacenter electrical and mechanical designs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Extensive experience with mission-critical facilities
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams on international projects
- Hands-on experience with power systems, cooling systems, and electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, NESC, and OSHA
- Direct experience with data center design, construction, operation, or maintenance
- Proven ability to research, develop, and deploy innovative design solutions
