The Graphic Designer - Prepress Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and optimizing artwork for digital print production on the Xceed press. This role provides on-site support to press operators to ensure files are accurate, press-ready, and run efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalize customer artwork for digital print production on the Xceed press
  • Review incoming files for print readiness and adjust artwork as needed
  • Manage color setup and consistency across jobs
  • Set up files properly for RIP and digital press workflow
  • Catch and resolve issues before they hit the press
  • Generate and review proofs prior to production
  • Serve as the primary prepress/graphics resource at the digital press
  • Work directly with operators to make sure files run cleanly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot issues at press

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 2–5+ years in prepress, production art, or a print environment
  • Experience in corrugated, packaging, or digital print ideal but not required
  • Experience working directly with press operators or production equipment is ideal but not required
  • Prepress and Print Production Workflows experience
  • Bleed, trim, and live areas, die lines and structural integration, color setup, correction, and management knowledge
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat proficiency
